Guide to Using Fuel Cards
Initially using a fuel card can be a little confusing so Fuelmate has produced the following guide to help you on your way.
Re-fuelling at a Forecourt with a Service Counter
- Before re-fuelling, hand your fuel card into the operator at the service counter
- Re-fuel your vehicle
- If required, make a note of the mileage before returning to the service counter
- Provide any further information the operator may request
- Collect your fuel card
Automatic or Outdoor Payment System
- Insert you fuel card into the reader, making sure the chip and pin is the right way up
- Enter all information requested by the reader, which may include mileage, vehicle registration and the number of the pump you are using
- Re-fuel your vehicle

Collect your fuel card. You may need to re-insert it if you require a receipt.
